Kali Beatty is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker working across production and narrative storytelling. With a track record in the production department — including roles as production coordinator and second assistant director on features and television — Kali brings a production-savvy perspective to her creative work. She has written, directed, and produced original shorts in development and production, including It’s Okay (short) where she served as writer, director, and producer. As one half of the creative team behind BloodCake Productions, Kali combines practical production experience with a clear narrative voice, ensuring projects are both tonally distinctive and grounded in execution.

Sam Lukowski is a storyteller with on-screen experience as a character actor — known for portraying intense and visceral roles in films like You’re F@#K’n Dead! — giving him a deep understanding of performance, tone, and genre execution. Off camera, Sam collaborates closely with Kali Beatty as co-writer, co-director, and co-producer under Blood Cake Productions. His background in performance enriches the duo’s approach to development and direction, grounding their work in character and emotional stakes while shaping projects from script through production with a cohesive creative vision.
